ABOUT ART BEAT BUZZ
Formerly known as Art BEAT of Fox Valley & Beyond, this online, visual-arts only newsletter quickly outgrew its geographical focus. First launched in 2019, readership swelled organically to an ever-widening regional, national and even international audience. In 2024, it was rebranded to reflect this expansion although it still retains its strong, Chicagoland-area focus for events, artist profiles, and related opportunities.
Founder & Publisher
LYNNE KORNECKI, a decades-long feature writer, newspaper columnist, and corporate communications professional conceived Art BEAT during her weekly art lessons. It became evident to her that word-of-mouth was the only vehicle local visual artists had for sharing artist calls and more. Clearly a consistent, reliable, communications resource was needed to disseminate visual arts information.
Her first thought was to focus on her own region, but as she tracked her newsletter’s analytics, it became clear there was an eager audience outside those boundaries for its stories.
Today, Art BEAT Buzz enjoys a healthy readership with monthly growth that extends well beyond the United States. It is with gratefulness that Art BEAT shares the inspiring art journeys of the artists featured on these pages, along with rewarding art opportunities for the benefit of all.
