"Hanover Twp Creates" August 2023 Art & Artisan Show Features Local Senior Talent -- Stop By!

"HT CREATES" is on display the entire month of August 2023 featuring the work of both seniors and staff at the Hanover Township Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59, Bartlett, IL. Be sure to stop by the Center to admire their hard work over the several months! Scroll down for more art...

The annual art show is highly anticipated each year by all arts and crafts participants at the Hanover Township Aging Services Center.

An opening reception celebrating their work was held Thursday afternoon, August 3, with catered refreshments, punch and a cash wine bar. Arts Instructors, Mimi Krall and Linda Kay, were honored for their ongoing, committed creativity designing new classes and arts opportunities for their students.

The party atmosphere was enhanced by live music and performances/demonstrations of movement classes -- Zumba Gold, Yoga and Tai Chi.

About 76 artists participated contributing 285 pieces of artwork -- 124 2D and 161 3D. Art and craft entries included everything from acrylics, glass, ceramics, diamond painting, alcohol ink, watercolor, oil, pencil, plastic canvas, woodworking, wool felting, needlework, knit & crochet, and more! Some items are available for sale.

Hanover Township Aging Services Center is one of only a handful fully accredited senior centers in the State of Illinois. Enrichment programming and services include trips -- day travel or destination tours, health clinic, medical supply lending closet, exercise classes, lectures, drop-in opportunities for pool, cards, knit/crochet, weekday cafe', and so much more.
