The entire collection of works by the late artist and educator, Edward Dlugopolski, a 40-year Batavia resident, has been donated and priced for the benefit of Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water Street. The event's opening reception will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 from 6-9 PM where complimentary beverages and snacks will be served.
His works are in charcoal and acrylic. He won a scholarship to study at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After serving in the U.S. Army in Korea, he received his degree at the University of Chicago and a graduate degree from Northern Illinois University. For decades he headed the art department at Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, retiring in 1987.
Attendees will see his artwork, mostly framed, ranging in size from 11" x 11" to acrylic works as large as 41" x 60". Prices range from $5.00 to $5,000. All sales are final. ###
