At the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 37W570 Bolcum Road in St. Charles, IL a wonderful solo show has recently opened and will be up through October 10. The show is titled "Art and Elegant Universe". Lindsay Olson is a textile artist who was the first Guest Artist in Residence at Fermilab. She worked with scientists, staff members and other resource people to create her work which connects art and science.

From Fermilab's website: Joel Scheesley is a painter whose 50-year artistic path has embraced a variety of genres. About ten years ago he turned toward landscape painting and has been captivated by it ever since.  Sheesley is professor emeritus at Wheaton College where he taught painting for forty-two years.  He has exhibited his work locally and nationally in galleries and museums.  He recently completed artistic residencies with The Conservation Foundation, the Edith Farnsworth House, The Forest Preserve District of DuPage, and the Shirley Heinze Land Trust.*


Georgia Schwender, visual arts coordinator at Fermilab, has a solo show going up in October at Water Street Studios and a group show will also open in the main gallery. ###
