Her written words were mounted on foam board: MST WARRIOR, SAVE THE CIVILIANS, AND INTO THE LIGHT. She describes the grim realities impacting many who serve, including her own experiences, regarding military sexual trauma (MST).

Bernadine Donato, US Navy and USAF (Retired); "I created this piece from a photo I took at the dedication of the Women in Military Service Memorial in Washington, DC in October of 1997...I was so inspired by her service in the combat zones of the WW II European Theater, I had to create this piece to honor her. She is 1Lt. Katherine Flynn Nolan. She arrive on Utah Beach D-Day +30 and served in the combat zone from D-Day to the Battle of the Bulge with the 53rd field hospital. She is a recipient of the French Legion of Honor amongst other awards.
