HONORABLE MENTION: Maggie Capettini -- "On a Clear Day"... Scroll down for more winning artwork from this show...
Two judges (Georgia P. Schwender and Jerry Stefl) had only nine awards to present -- what a challenge! The creative work and technical expertise in this show is top notch. And to think such an array of talent lives within a 50-mile radius of the gallery -- a criterion for participation -- is nothing short of fantastic.

LESTER NORRIS AWARD: Chris Stehlin, "Super Nova"...hard to tell the detail in this photo, however, this is what the judges wrote: "What an original gem! the technical ability of the piercing and texturing of this wheel-thrown piece of ceramics is remarkable. Then to fire it in a raku process and for it to survive the harsh elements is a significant accomplishment. Plus, it is as light as a feather.".
