"La Grande Jatte" was painted 150 years ago and was acquired by the Art Institute of Chicago in 1924. In its 98 years at the Art Institute, it has only left once, so it's journey to reframing is very interesting!

The Art Institute of Chicago extends free admission to members of our community through several avenues.

RESERVE ONLINE IN ADVANCE

Admission will be free for Illinois residents on weekdays (Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays) November 29–December 17, 2021, and January 3–March 17, 2022.

To receive free admission tickets, Illinois residents must reserve them online in advance. Resident status will be verified using the zip code associated with the billing address provided. Their website also advices what COVID restrictions must be followed by visitors.
